At a meeting with students in Nikolayev, Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky manifested his doubts that Ukraine will ever join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The Ukrainian president noted that bolstering national security is still a major concern for the Ukrainian political class, but he stressed his uncertainty with Ukraine ever joining NATO.
“We do not know for sure how it will be. […] No one will tell you with certainty, whether we will be in NATO or whether we will not. We want to, but…,” he declared in a video, posted on his Telegram channel.
In the meantime, Zelensky highlighted that the Ukrainian state maintains the goal of achieving NATO standards and must do everything possible to “keep national security at top level.”
Let’s be honest, Ukraine got played here. The US and its satrapies in NATO do not care about democracy or human rights in Ukraine. They cared more about building a Western bulwark against Russia in Ukraine through direct or proxy NATO membership.
