In a news release published by former President Donald Trump’s campaign on March 31, 2023, Trump has raised over $4 million in the 24 hours since he was indicted by a federal grand jury in Manhattan.
Over 25% of the donations to Trump’s campaign came from first-time donors.
Following the news of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicting Trump on the afternoon of March 30, his campaign blasted out several fundraising emails. With regards to the first-time donors, the Trump campaign says this “solidifies President Trump’s status as the clear frontrunner in the Republican primary.”
Per NBC News, campaign officials also stated that they had received roughly 16,000 volunteer sign-ups in addition to the donations.
