Sen. Cruz Demands Answers to Airport Security Concerns Brought by Open Border Policies

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz is asking Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for more information on how the Biden-Harris administration’s open border policies have affected airport security.

Cruz—the ranking member of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee—sent a letter to Mayorkas asking how the Transportation Security Agency is responding to security concerns with illegal aliens traversing U.S. airports.

“DHS, particularly TSA, must explain how it is responding to the serious ways in which the administration’s open border policies are undermining airport security and Americans’ Safety,” reads the letter.

Cruz claims that Biden’s border policies are weakening airport security in three ways.
