According to a poll by the Institute for Global Affairs, swing state voters believe former President Donald Trump is better equipped with tackling the US’s foreign policy challenges.
When poll respondents were asked which of the presidential contenders would “be a strong leader who advances America’s interests internationally,” 52% of the individuals in the poll backed Harris. By contrast, 48% indicated their support for Trump.
Among swing state voters, the results were markedly different. Trump held a 54%-46% advantage to Harris in foreign policy matters.
The IGA poll surveyed voters in key battleground states in the Midwest such as Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin in addition to Sun Belt states such as Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada.
