BREAKING: Texas judge rules against Media Matters’ attempt to get Elon Musk’s X lawsuit dismissed, trial will commence April 7

A lawsuit brought by X against Media Matters in Texas will move forward, with a trial expected in April 2025. Media Matters had attempted to get the case thrown out, but Judge Reed O'Connor on Thursday denied that motion in favor of the X suit, saying that the platform "has properly pled its claims."

The suit, initiated by Elon Musk in 2023, alleged that in their reporting, Meda Matters had fabricated screenshots that showed ads from major advertisers on X displayed next to extremist and neo-Nazi content.

"LFG!!" Musk posted simply on X. 

Rumble CEO joined in, saying "Absolutely huge news! Media Matters days are numbered."
