In Eau Claire, Wisconsin Wednesday afternoon, both vice presidential candidate JD Vance and current Vice President and Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ planes arrived on the same tarmac. Harris has not taken questions in the 17 days since she announced her candidacy for president and there are no platform positions currently listed on her website.
Addressing reporters stationed outside Harris’ plane, Vance said, "So I know you’re covering the Vice President here, I figured I’d come by and … take a look at the plane cause hopefully it's going to be my plane in a few months."
"I also thought you guys might get lonely, because the Vice President doesn’t answer questions from reporters, and hasn’t for 17 days," he continued, asking the reporters why Harris hasn't been taking their questions. When no reporter answered his question, Vance replied, "I hope that she changes her mind because it would be good for the American people, and I think it would be good for you all, if she actually ran a real campaign instead of one from a basement with a teleprompter."
JD Vance to the press: “I also thought you guys might get lonely because the Vice President doesn’t answer questions from reporters, and hasn’t for 17 days.”
